Disability: data introduction
The following disability data pages focus on:
- the percentage of adults of working-age in receipt of Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
- estimates of the percentage of adults (16 and over) in Scotland with a limiting long-term physical or mental health condition or illness.
- estimates of the percentage of adults in Scotland reporting that they are in bad/very bad health.

Note also that some relevant data (e.g. adults unable to work due to illness/disability, disability living allowance, attendance allowance claimants, long-term limiting illness, self-assessed health classified as bad/very bad) are included within the ScotPHO Online Profiles Tool (held within this website).
