Capability Scotland campaigns with, and provides education, employment and care services for, disabled children and adults across Scotland.

The Department for Work and Pensions is currently responsible for administering most UK welfare benefits and pensions.

Disability Information Scotland provide information on various aspects of disability and work with disabled people, their families, friends and carers, and the people who are employed within the sector.

The Disabled Living Foundation is a UK-wide charity providing impartial advice, information and training on independent living.

Disability Research on Independent Living and Learning is a five year funded research programme (2015-20) that will see disabled people working with academics and policy makers to develop research and pilot projects that will show how they, and people with long term health conditions, can be better supported to live independent lives.

Disability Rights UK work with their members to influence national policy on independent living, benefits, education, employment, transport, human rights and other issues - shaping policy through direct experience and expertise.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission works to eliminate discrimination, reduce inequality, protect and promote human rights and to build good relations, with the aim that everyone has a fair chance to participate in society. Disability is one of the characteristics covered by its remit.

The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities is a UK-wide organisation working with, and for, people with learning disabilities.

The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland is an alliance of voluntary and community organisations working with long-term conditions.

Inclusion Scotland is a consortium of organisations of disabled people and disabled individuals.

Independent Living in Scotland was set up to support the progression of disabled people’s human rights, and in particular those rights in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The Scottish Commission for Learning Disability aims to be a knowledge hub – offering support, information and new ideas about learning disability in Scotland. It is a strategic partner to Scottish Government in the delivery of Scotland's learning disability strategy The Keys to Life.

The Scottish Human Rights Commission promotes and protects human rights for everyone in Scotland. They have a specific role in monitoring Scotland's adherence to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
