Local area burden of disease: data visualisation
Our SBoD local geography explorer allows you to interact with our burden of disease estimates for over 70 individual causes by local geography (region, NHS Board and local authority), sex and age-group between 2014 and 2019.
It does this by assessing how diseases and injuries contribute to health loss in different demographic groups, and prevent local populations from living longer and healthier lives.
Through our data explorer, users can access the data in a variety of ways including:
- Sub-national area maps of the disease burden (NHS board; local authority)
- Age-sex line plots
- Cause and area heatmap
- Time series (2014 to 2019) line plots
